Bellevue officers investigated after dustup at CenturyLink

Some Bellevue Police officers are in trouble for hassling a Seattle officer who was working Sunday's Seahawks game at CenturyLink Field.

Three off-duty Bellevue officers had apparently been doing some heavy tailgating before the game. The Seattle Times reports one of them tossed a beer cup on the ground in front of the Seattle officer, and when she asked him to pick it up, they all surrounded her and started calling her names.

The officers flashed their badges and taunted the officer. Backup was called, but the unruly behavior continued.

Bellevue's chief has since apologized to the officer and ordered an internal investigation. No one in the group was arrested or cited, though the officers appeared to be intoxicated.

    I'm not sure
the intoxication had anything to do with their behavior, it's pretty typical of eastside cops on or off duty.

"No one in the group was arrested or cited, ". The everyday joe would have been tased, beatened and shot. What punks, it's a good thing that society doesn't allow the police to do there JOBS the way the WANT to or there would be anarchy on the streets and cops would be getting shot left and right because they don't know how to act with all that power. Pu55y's

Actually they're top notch. This has me scratching my head a little, someone is in big trouble, trust me. My gut says, SPD officier was being a jerk, BPD cops fueled by alchol and ego pushed back....and lost.

More likely the SPD was doing thier job, and these guys think they were above the law. Dicks with a badge are still dicks.

Easy boys...This is another MYNW story that is lacking all the facts. Just teaser stuff to get you all riled up...and it did. Suckers... If it's worth anything as news, we might see a followup. Doubt we will though.

    True face
People show their true colors when drinking and iit's obvious these cops have a power complex and think they can harrass anyone for being cops. They should be punished just as if they were not cops, but unlikely.

    The problem with these cops
is that they have never had a real man beat them down. They never have stepped to a real man, and never will. Most of them didn't have a lot of friends in school and otherwise have serious social and power issues, little man syndrome if you will.

If these idiots act like this toward a fellow officer in public-
What do they do to an ordinary citizen behind closed door’s?????? Drunk or not these idiots need to be removed from the police force immediately.

From what is written here this type of behavior is unacceptable.
Be it off duty police, firefighters, longshoremen or even roofers. You want to go to a game get loud and obnoxious, fine. Unfortunately for police and fire, the flashing of badges or just announcing that we are who we are along with outrageous public intoxication will be made public every time.
