Bellevue cops bad behavior not just outside Seahawks game

Earlier this week there were reports a few off-duty, apparently drunk, Bellevue cops had hassled a Seattle police officer before Sunday's Seahawks home opener. It turns out their questionable behavior didn't end outside CenturyLink Field. Witnesses believe the same officers were kicked out of the game for acting like jerks inside the stadium.

Fans who were sitting near the three Bellevue officers and one civilian said they arrived late in the first quarter and immediately let loose with F-bombs and other foul language, appearing to be quite drunk.

One man says their behavior was deplorable from the get go. "Jeff" told the The Dori Monson Show a "barrage" of f-bombs flew out of one of the officer's mouth before he tapped them on the shoulder and asking them to stop. He was with his wife and 12-year-old son.

One of the cops was apologetic, but another told the man that his son had heard it all before and to relax. It grew heated when the man said he had paid $150 for the seats and didn't want to hear it for two hours.

Jeff said he wasn't the only one put off by the foul language, he saw an elderly man sitting in front of him flinch in reaction to the swearing.

"It's not like I was trying to save the world, but there were other people uncomfortable with it," said Jeff. So he asked them to stop again, and asked them if they knew about the "fan experience."

It was on. 'What are you going to do about it,' one of them asked. The cops reportedly went after him, insulting him and calling him names.

Jeff raised his hand and brought over an usher. He told the usher what happened, and he gave them a warning, if it's a problem one more time, the usher said they would be asked to leave.

As the usher explained this to the more apologetic of the officers, the other man leaned over and began whispering more obscenities into Jeff's ear.

The usher caught on and kicked the group out. As they filed out of the row, the female officer got in Jeff's face.

It happened too quickly to recall exactly what she said, but he knew it was something about "Bellevue's finest."

Jeff talked to security after the group was escorted out and confirmed at least one of the men was a Bellevue police officer.

The rowdy officers in the game are reportedly the same officers who went after a Seattle police officer before the game.

According to reports, the Seattle officer had asked one of them to pick up a beer cup he had just thrown on the street when they surrounded her and started taunting her. Another Seattle cop was so concerned for her safety that he called for backup. Even with other officers, a sergeant and a lieutenant, the Bellevue officers continued their insults and taunts.

SPD says the group was allowed to go into the game because no crime had been committed.

The Bellevue officers are being investigated.

And they wonder why minorities don't trust them.

Too Much Power In The Wrong Hands
It's not just minorities who don't trust cops. i don't trust or like them & this is yet another glaring example of why it is so. The sad part is taht what should happen to them won't happen. They should have been arrested BEFORE they ever entered the stadium for being drunk & disorderly. You or I would have been in handcuffs because we're not cops. Sad & pathetic power punks.

The "investigation" by Bellevue PD will likely be as effective as Eric Holder investigating Fast and Furious.

The Bellevue officers are being investigated
Ya right, an internal investigation just like always. I want to hear a full report from the chief of the BPD. but that will never happen. They will recieve the customary slap on wrist and then again sent out to harass the un-expecting public. (Dirt bags likes these should not be allowed to be on any police force.)

Bellevue? They don't have real cops in Bellevue. They were just upset because they had to walk several blocks to their Volvo.

    dumb cops
Remember Bellevue cops; all it takes is one of you to screw it up for the rest of your agency. Now because you are a jack wagon everyone out here now thinks that of all of your cops...

    Something sounds fishy...
I'm having a hard time with any cop having to call back-up including a Sgt. and a Lt!? and nothing was done? WHAT? Now we have someone who says he was sitting with them, but there doesn't seem to be any proof of that? No video?? really? all this activity, supervisors, cops telling security they're cops....and no video, NO seat numbers/section...it sounds just a bit strange. 3 drunks circle a female cop and NOTHING HAPPENS???

    What if...
What if these guys had been cited/ticketed/stopped by SPD when the earlier incident happened. Witnesses say they appeared intoxicated then-but were allowed to go on their way. There is no excuse for their thuggish behavior & hopefully they will be dealt with severely-but there is also no excuse for the "pass" given them by SPD. I doubt the average citizen whould have been treated the same way. Investigations needed on both ends here.

    Hmmmmmm?.........
We live in an age where EVERYONE pulls out the cell phone and records their dog taking a crap and posting it on YouTube in the hopes of making millions and being famous.

Now we have an incident in a crowded stadium and we don't have any evidence except "he said, she said".....interesting?

People will drive and walk by, even their own mother being assaulted on the street and are faster to whip out their video devices and record the event as to rendering assistance.

Let's see the cheesy video first, before delivering the sentence......or the amnesty.

    first of all
I want the female seattle cop who was harassed retrained and reprimanded. She knew the officers were drunk, she knew they were displaying no judgement, she knew they were police and therefore probably armed, and she let them go on their merry way? Did she at least pat them down? What if someone inside the stadium got into a fight with these cops and got shot? Seattle gets sued big time. Second, I want the female officer who threatened retaliation by saying "you better not get pulled over in bellevue" FIRED. You can't have citizens fearing crooked cops. She clearly threatened this man and just put all of the taxpayers necks out for a lawsuit that should be a slam dunk against the city of Bellevue. Lastly, I'd like to see the remaining dbag cops suspended without pay for a few weeks. All that said, who is doing the investigation? Spd's own investigator John Fox?
