Viadoom commute: Driving to Seattle from Tacoma

Viadoom is coming and there’s nothing we can do about it, except try to drive around. Starting January 11, 2019, Seattle’s Alaskan Way Viaduct will close without a replacement for three weeks.
The upwards of 90,000 cars who regularly use the route will have to find an alternative, and in this series of special Chokepoint columns, we’re looking at what options are best depending on where you’re coming from.
