The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a Wind Advisory for the north Sound in effect Friday from 6 p.m. to Saturday at 6 p.m. The system is expected to produce gusts up to 45 mph along the coast and north. The evening commute is expected to be soggy.

As for the rest of the Puget Sound region, KIRO 7 meteorologist Nick Allard says you can expect wet and breezy to windy conditions. However, not strong enough for an advisory. Gusts may reach speeds of 35-40 mph.

Saturday will remain breezy with spotty showers, according to Allard. Temperatures will warm into the mid-50s.

Sunday and Monday will be partly sunny and mostly dry, Allard said. Rain will return on Tuesday.

The warm temperatures and heavy rainfall could result in flooding on area rivers. The NWS said a flood watch remains in effect on the Skokomish River for Mason County through Saturday night.

The snow level is expected to rise to 4,000 – 6,000 feet with 3-4.5 inches of rain falling on Olympics. The Cascades are expected to receive 1-2 inches of rain overnight.
