Boring the Seattle Tunnel

The City of Seattle says farewell to Bertha as she starts her journey burrowing for over a year under Seattle's streets.

After Bertha, the SR 99 tunneling machine, chews through through the ground, the resulting tunnel "muck" moves from the machine to the Port of Seattle via a conveyor belt.
