This Associated Press report on the death of 17-year-old Bernard K. Houston was published in the Sept. 1, 1988 issue of the Spokesman-Review. It describes how Houston was gunned down in an apparent gang retaliation shooting two days earlier, and was found "unconscious and bleeding heavily, a six-shooter clutched in his right hand with five live rounds in the cylinder."
