Seattle Police released photos of a man who detectives hope to speak with in connection to a fire inside a packed Capitol Hill nightclub on New Year’s Eve.
The grainy, black and white images, taken from surveillance video inside Neighbours nightclub just after midnight on January 1, show the man weaving through the crowd.
“I would think that if somebody knew this individual, they might be able to recognize this person from the images,” said Det. Mark Jamieson with the Seattle Police Department.
Jamieson said the man has not been named a suspect, but that he is “unaccounted for” and was not interviewed by Arson and Bomb Squad detectives on the night of the fire.
Around 750 people were inside the club when someone poured gasoline on a carpeted stairwell and set it on fire. No one was injured.
Police ask that anyone who knows the man, or who may have encountered him at the club that night, call (206) 684-8980.
