There are plenty of new food offerings at T-Mobile Park, in case you need something to make you feel better during the Mariners rebuilding year.

Newly added to the cornucopia of food vendors are Paseo Caribbean sandwiches, Li’l Woody’s flame-grilled burgers, and Fat’s Southern style chicken. For dessert, Shug’s Soda Fountain & Ice Cream.

Seattle beat the Oakland Athletics 9-7 Wednesday in the Major League Baseball opener in Tokyo. They won for the 12th time in 15 openers, and beat the A’s in 2012 when MLB last started in Japan.

The constantly-evolving menu at T-Mobile Park is part of a nine-year collaboration between Centerplate, the Seattle Mariners hospitality partner, and consulting Chef Ethan Stowell, the 2019 James Beard Award Semifinalist behind How to Cook a Wolf, Red Cow, and Bramling Cross, among numerous other Seattle restaurants.

Stowell has also invited several of Seattle’s top chefs to create a rotating menu of chef-inspired Crowd Cow burgers at Hit It Here Café throughout the season, including Maria Hines (Tilth, Agrodulce), John Sundstrom (Lark), Brady Williams (Canlis) and Mitch Mayers (Sawyer).

The Mariners home opener is next week on Thursday, March 28 against the Red Sox.
