It’s not always easy to spot celebrities, even when they’re right in front of you.

Veteran KIRO Radio reporter Tim Haeck had no idea he captured a decent photo of internationally-acclaimed Seattle rapper Macklemore while covering a march protesting the decision not to indict a police officer in Ferguson, Mo. through downtown Seattle Tuesday.

“Hey Tim, nice shot of Macklemore,” I said, while reviewing his images after he returned from the march.

Tim didn’t have a clue. Shocked, he ran over to see it for himself.

“Well I can’t see much in the viewfinder,” he offered up as an excuse.

Still, we’re not sure Tim would even recognize Macklemore if he smacked right into him. A few years back, Tim had another (unbeknownst to him) celebrity encounter.
