How you can make a cameo in Star Wars: Episode VII, meet the cast

May 21, 2014, 7:36 AM | Updated: 9:34 am

You have a chance not only to meet the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII, but to be in the movie, too – and it’s all for a good cause.

On Wednesday, Star Wars: Episode VII mastermind J.J. Abrams released a video with details on how donating a mere $10 to a good cause could transport you to a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

A brand new Star Wars initiative is “about helping kids all around the world by supporting UNICEF innovation labs and programs,” said Abrams in the video.

By making a donation of at least $10, any eligible supporter is automatically entered for a chance to win “The Star Wars: Force for Change Grand Prize,” behind-the-scenes access on the closed set of Star Wars: Episode VII as VIP guests of J.J. Abrams, an opportunity to meet members of the cast and be transformed by makeup and costume teams into a Star Wars character and filmed for a scene in Star Wars: Episode VII.

The campaign runs from May 21 until 11:59 p.m. PST on July 18.

Contest details are at www.Omaze.com/StarWars.
