‘Arrested Development’ is back

It premiered in 2003 and was canceled in 2006. Now the cult favorite “Arrested Development” is getting what its fans have been begging for – one more season.

All 15 episodes will appear on Netflix on Sunday May 26.

Whether you’ve been at all the Bluth parties (and court hearings,) or if you’re just picking up the show for the first time, here are some things you should know.

Catch up.
If you’re a first timer, or if it’s been a while since you’ve watched the first three seasons, you can catch up with episodes on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime.

It won’t pick up right where it left off.
On the contrary: We meet up with the Bluth family in 2013. As we understand, jokes will still hold, so if you’re a seasoned fan of the show, you can pick up on reoccurring jokes with the help of Recurring Developments.

It won’t be the same old thing.
Show stars and on-screen father-son duo Jason Batemen (Michael Bluth) and Michael Cera (George Michael Bluth) stress they’re not trying to retread the show of yesteryear. Cera told the AP, “I think it’s new at every opportunity while retaining the show’s original heart.”

Don’t binge.
Show creator Mitchell Hurwitz advises: Don’t go watching all 15 episodes in one sitting even though Netflix is releasing them all at once. You should watch them in order too. This isn’t going to be a “choose your own adventure” as was originally reported. He told Vulture, “I’m really doing everything I can to put out that misconception that it can be watched in any order […] Although I really did have that ambition at one point.”

A movie isn’t confirmed, but it’s not out of the question.
In an interview with The AV Club, Hurwitz said writing for TV was more about characters than a story. That may be why each episode of the show in its fourth season will focus on one particular character. But they are leading up to one story that “could take the form of a movie. I’m hoping it does.”

The 15 half-hour episodes will premiere en masse on Netflix on Sunday at 12:01 p.m. PST.
