Best thing: Watch ‘Ho Hey’ as performed by Chickeneers Fallon, Shelton and Offerman

The Lumineers released their single “Ho Hey” over a year ago. First came the music blogs, then public radio, CW TV show placements, Billboard’s top charts, Top 40 radio play and a performance at the Grammys.

Now, the sweet folky song has finally been done as it was intended: by chickens.

And this could be a step in the right direction for a lot of pop songs, especially if you’re not quite sure of all the lyrics. Because if you’re singing along with a chicken, you only have to know one “bawk.”

It’s something Gonzo would really get excited about.
