Brain Injury is the number one cause of death and disability among children and young adults. Every year 20,000 Washington residents suffer a traumatic brain injury and every day three of our friends, neighbors and family members die from brain injuries.
However, there is hope for prevention and support through education and increased awareness. To support these efforts, Bonneville Seattle and the Seattle Seahawks are proud to announce the Brain Injury Association of Washington as the October Charity of the Month.
The Brain Injury Association of Washington is working to provide resources for those who have suffered these injuries. They even worked to pass the Zackery Lystedt Law to support the safety of all youth while playing sports.
