(AP) - Workers in Bangladesh rescued a seamstress buried in the rubble of a collapsed garment factory building for 17 days on Friday as the death toll shot past 1,000. The woman survived by eating dried food that was nearby and drinking spare amounts of water with her. She was discovered on the second floor of the eight-story Rana Plaza building.

Here are some of the best images of the rescue and the scene.
