Renton man died on Okanogan camping trip

OKANOGAN, Wash. (AP) - A Renton man who disappeared on a camping trip in Okanogan County has been found dead.

The sheriff's office says the body of 50-year-old Christopher Campbell was found Wednesday in his truck that had crashed into Conconully Lake. The body was recovered by divers in about 12 feet of water.

The sheriff's office says it appears Campbell was driving back to his camp when he drove off a 40-foot embankment into the lake. The crash was discovered by searchers who noticed a broken limb.

Campbell was last seen on Friday in Conconully.
