Body found in charred vehicle is Wash. man

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - The Thurston County coroner says the body found inside a burned-out vehicle in the Capitol Forest south of Olympia is that of a 53-year-old man.

Coroner Gary Warnock identified the man on Thursday as Scott J. Madison of Olympia.

Madison's remains were found Tuesday after fire crews extinguished the fire.

Lab results indicate accelerants may have been used in the fire but Warnock says it's not yet clear who may have done that. The coroner says the cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.
