Woman killed in Lake Stevens WA hit-run

LAKE STEVENS, Wash. (AP) - A Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman says the victim of a fatal hit-and-run in Lake Stevens, Wash., was a 53-year-old woman.

Spokeswoman Shari Ireton identified the woman as Kay Hyde Donohue of Lake Stevens.

Detectives are looking for anyone who might have seen her walking northbound on South Machias Road early Tuesday morning, wearing a red winter coat and red baseball cap. Her body was found Tuesday evening.

Detectives have identified a vehicle that may have been involved in the hit and run. It has been taken into evidence for processing.
