SEATTLE (AP) - A man who took part in a plot to attack a Seattle military complex with machine guns and grenades was sentenced Monday in federal court to 17 years in prison.
The 33-year-old Los Angeles man, Walli Mujahidh, had pleaded guilty in December to conspiracy to kill officers of the United States, conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
A Seattle co-defendant in the case, 35-year-old Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif, was sentenced last month to 18 years in prison. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction and murder U.S. officers.
The two were arrested in June 2011 when they arrived at a warehouse to pick up weapons. An informant had alerted authorities to the plan to attack the Military Entrance Processing Station.
