KENT, Wash. (AP) - The man who rammed a pickup truck into a Kent home and shot his ex-wife apparently killed himself on a rural road near Index.
King County sheriff's Sgt. Cindi West says investigators are working under the assumption a body found near the pickup is the man's. The official determination will be made by the Snohomish County medical examiner's office.
The Snohomish County sheriff's office says the truck and body were found about 9 a.m. Thursday at the Lake Serene Trailhead, just off of Highway 2. The man apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The truck matches the truck that crashed through the front window of the Kent home about 3:30 a.m. West says the driver shot his ex-wife in the hand. Three children in the house were not hurt.
