Man dies of exposure on Spokane sidewalk

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A man found dead on a Spokane sidewalk Tuesday died of exposure to the cold.
The body of 57-year-old Benjamin Payne was found near a snow bank. An autopsy determined the cause of death was hypothermia.
Police told The Spokesman-Review ( http://bit.ly/Wgaiqm) there were signs of trauma on the body and they're investigating whether the injuries were accidental or caused by an assault.
