Seattle pot dispensary co-owner gets 3.5 years

SEATTLE (AP) - The co-owner of a Seattle marijuana dispensary raided by federal authorities in 2011 has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison, and she's expected to be deported after she serves her time.

Jing Jing Mo co-owned Seattle Cannabis Cooperative with her partner, Craig Dieffenbach. They admitted selling marijuana for profit under the guise of running a medical marijuana dispensary. Dieffenbach was previously sentenced to six years.

Mo admitted offering to sell 25 pounds of marijuana to a federal informant supposedly for distribution in the Midwest. She suggested the informant buy lousy weed, under the theory that Midwestern pot smokers wouldn't know the difference.

The U.S. attorney's office says the 32-year-old is a citizen of Singapore and will likely be deported.
