Bodies in WA river confirmed as missing couple

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - The Snohomish County medical examiner has confirmed that two bodies found inside a car submerged in the Snohomish River are those of a couple missing since Jan. 8.

The Seattle Times reports ( http://is.gd/nxrIeX) the medical examiner's staff said Thursday that 31-year-old Jason Dolman and 36-year-old Riza Ysulat drowned. Their deaths have been ruled accidental.

A sheriff's investigator searching for the couple found the submerged car Wednesday. It wasn't clear how the car ended up in the river.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton has said the dating couple had not been to work since Jan. 8 and their cellphones were turned off. They left behind personal items at their homes.
