VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Police in Vancouver, Wash., have arrested a resident in the fatal shooting of a reported prowler at the man's home.
Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp says 27-year-old Sean Doucette was arrested for investigation of second-degree murder and booked into the Clark County Jail.
An initial call from the scene at about 4 a.m. Tuesday reported a prowler near a home. Kapp says police received another call minutes later saying the prowler had been shot.
The dead man was not immediately identified.
KATU-TV in Portland, Ore., quotes First Response Inc. president Dave Foglio as saying Doucette is a security guard in the company's patrol division.
The Columbian reports that tax records show the Vancouver property is owned by Sean and Rachelle Doucette.
