KENT, Wash. (AP) - A sex offender accused of assaulting an 11-year-old girl in the Enumclaw public library restroom pleaded not guilty Thursday in King County Superior Court in Kent.
Travis Lear remains in jail on $1 million bail while he faces child molestation and kidnapping charges.
KOMO Radio reports prosecutors are making a special filing in the case that seeks to give the 25-year-old a prison sentence of more than 25 years if he is convicted.
Lear is accused of forcing the girl into the library restroom on Jan 30 and groping and threatening her. He was identified through library video.
He's a registered sex offender after pleading guilty in 2008 to child rape involving a 14-year-old.
