SEATTLE (AP) - Jared Shaw scored 16 points and Utah State held Seattle to 31 percent shooting in a 68-46 victory Saturday night.
Spencer Butterfield added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Aggies (16-5, 7-4 Western Athletic), who outrebounded Seattle 44-25 and completed a sweep of the season series between the two teams. TeNale Roland had 12 points and Marcel Davis 11.
Chad Rasmussen led the Redhawks (7-14, 2-9) with 10 points. Seattle made just 18 of 58 shots overall and 2 of 20 from beyond the arc.
Shaw hit a layup with 7:10 left in the first half to cap a 10-2 run that put the Aggies ahead 22-13. Utah State extended the lead to 30-19 at halftime and kept it in double digits throughout the second half.
The Aggies are playing without leading scorer Preston Medlin (out 6-8 weeks with a fractured wrist) and starter Kyisean Reed (out with a season-ending torn ACL).
