VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - The Pearson Air Museum in Vancouver, Wash., will reopen Wednesday morning under management of the National Park Service.
The museum has been closed for three weeks following a dispute between the park service and the Fort Vancouver Historic Trust, which had run the museum on behalf of the city of Vancouver since 2005.
The Columbian reports ( http://goo.gl/E40JI) the park service, which owns the land and hangar but not the planes or displays, ended its contract with the city Feb. 1.
The museum will reopen with two temporary exhibits. The Oregonian says ( http://goo.gl/SYTNB) the first will be on the history of transportation and is designed for children. The other will feature information about a spruce mill that made combat planes in Vancouver during World War I.
