BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - One man is dead and another was wounded after a double stabbing at a party in the Bellingham area.
Bellingham police say the 17-year-old and 18-year-old wounded men were dropped off at a hospital early Saturday. Police learned from witnesses about a suspect and his possible whereabouts.
Police then went to a residence where a party had taken place the night before. When officers were questioning two residents, the suspect walked into the house covered in mud and apparent blood. He took off running, but was subdued shortly thereafter.
Police say the 17-year-old man died of his injuries while the 18-year-old was treated and released. The 17-year-old man's name has not been released.
Officers arrested 21-year-old Geoff K. Spain for investigation of second-degree murder.
