Tacoma man pleads guilty to theft in bank holdup

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - A Tacoma man who held up the bank where he was a customer and was recognized by a teller pleaded guilty to a theft charge.
The News Tribune reports ( http://is.gd/tOmIUR) 55-year-old Robert Rios Jr. was sentenced last month to 90 days in home detention.
In the robbery last November he handed the teller a robbery note and insisted he wasn't joking, even when she recognized him.
When officers found him nearby, he said he had messed up.
Rios has been ordered to stay away from the bank.
