CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Lia Galdeira scored 17 points, including a basket with 3 seconds to play, and Washington State withstood a late Oregon State rally to win 51-49 on Friday night.
The Cougars (9-14, 5-7 Pac-12) led by 16 points early in the second half, and 49-40 with less than 2 minutes to play. But the Beavers' Jamie Weisner made a 3-pointer and then Deven Hunter scored consecutive baskets, her only points of the night, to make it 49-47.
Weisner stole the ball and was fouled. She missed the front end of the one-and-one, but grabbed the rebound and put it back in to tie it at 49 with 32 seconds to go before Galdeira's winning basket.
Sage Romberg added 13 points and six rebounds for the Cougars. Weisner finished with 11 points and Samantha Siegner grabbed 10 rebounds for the Beavers (9-15, 3-9), who have lost four in a row.
