Kennewick council restricts panhandling

KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) - Panhandling at certain busy intersections in Kennewick will be banned starting next week.

The city council approved restrictions Tuesday at intersections where there's no place for cars to pull over.

The Tri-City Herald reports ( http://bit.ly/XkENAc) the new law also bans aggressive panhandling such as knocking on car windows. It also bans panhandling within 25 feet of an ATM.
