Yakima 'pipe bomb' was filled with marijuana

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - A utility worker discovered what appeared to be a pipe bomb outside a home Thursday in Yakima.
Police called in an Army bomb squad. The street was closed and neighbors evacuated as the bomb squad blew one end off the cylinder.
That's when authorities learned the pipe was not filled with explosives. It was filled with marijuana.
Yakima Herald-Republic readers told the paper ( http://bit.ly/12WuNkx) the cylinder was likely being used to extract a highly concentrated oil or resin from the marijuana.
