Seattle Prep holds off Kamiakin 46-39

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Michaela Carew finished with 16 points and seven rebounds, helping Seattle Prep hold off Kamiakin, 46-39, Thursday in the Class 3A quarterfinals at the Tacoma Dome.

Mary Ann Santucci added 14 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Panthers (22-5), who advance to the semifinals at 3:45 p.m. Friday.

Courtney Nelson scored 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds in 32 minutes, while Holly Ellison finished with nine points to lead the Braves (18-6), who will play in a consolation game at 9 a.m. Friday.
