North Dakota holds off Eastern Washington 78-74

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) - Troy Huff scored a career-high 34 points, including a game-sealing three-point play with 7 seconds left, to give North Dakota a 78-74 victory over Eastern Washington on Saturday afternoon.

Huff was 13 of 23 from the field, including four 3-pointers, for the Green and White (14-15, 11-8 Big Sky), who strengthened their hold on the No. 3 seed for the conference tournament. Aaron Anderson added 18 points.

The Eagles (9-20, 6-12), meanwhile, remained in ninth place and need a lot of help to make the seven-team tournament. Tyler Harvey led EWU with 21 points, and Martin Seiferth had 14 points and 14 rebounds.

UND led the entire second half, but EWU pulled within 73-72 on Harvey's layup with 51 seconds left. Anderson's layup, followed by Huff's dunk and free throw, gave UND a six-point lead before Seiferth had a meaningless dunk to complete the scoring.
