Police: Spokane Valley man fatally shoots relative

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A Spokane County sheriff's spokesman says a Spokane Valley man accused of fatally shooting a relative is in custody.

The Spokesman-Review reports ( http://is.gd/QxZwP4) that Deputy Craig Chamberlin says the man called 911 to report the shooting Tuesday afternoon.

Chamberlin says the two had been arguing when one man went to his car, got a shotgun and fired. The second man died at a hospital.

The newspaper says the victim was believed to be the other man's brother although deputies did not immediately confirm that.

Neither man was immediately identified.
