Woman who fell out of Wash. kayak dies

SEATTLE (AP) - A King County sheriff's spokeswoman says a 45-year-old woman who fell out of her kayak and into the Green River has died in a hospital.

Sgt. Cindi West says the woman's friends pulled her from the water Sunday and began CPR before medics arrived. She was taken to a hospital in Auburn, Wash., where she died Monday.

She was not immediately identified.

Deputies said the woman was wearing a lifejacket and was properly equipped.
