Man arrested in Yakima stabbing death

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) - Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in the stabbing death of Yakima resident after a witness came forward.
Armando Vieyra was arrested Monday and booked into Yakima County Jail on investigation of first-degree murder.
David Lee Childs was found dead Friday in a downtown Yakima parking lot. The 70-year-old had been beaten and stabbed with something that caused puncture wounds.
KIMA-TV reports ( http://is.gd/O6rTDt) a witness came forward with a photo from the night of the murder, and police were able to identify a vehicle license plate in the photo. Police tracked the car to a home in Wapato, where they found Vieyra. Police said Vierya appeared to be the same man as in the witness photo.
