Union strikes at Port Angeles paper mill

PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) - Union members at a Port Angeles paper mill are on strike.

Members of the Association of Western Pulp and Paper Worker local walked off the job Wednesday at Nippon Paper Industries USA in a contract dispute.

The Peninsula Daily News reports ( http://bit.ly/Yr3DPr) talks could resume next week with a federal mediator.

The mill produces paper used in phone books, magazines and newspapers.
