Kennewick shooting suspect arrested in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Spokane police have arrested a 41-year-old man suspected in the fatal shooting of a man in Kennewick.

Spokane police spokeswoman Monique Cotton says Grant Wayne Scantling was taken into custody in a north Spokane home Friday afternoon.

Authorities began looking for Scantling after a 21-year-old man was found shot to death in a duplex in Kennewick, about 140 miles away, early Friday morning.

Kennewick Police Sgt. Ken Lattin told the Tri-City Herald ( http://is.gd/Ktchsn) that the victim and the shooter lived at the apartment but it didn't appear that they were related. The victim has not been identified.
