Quincy, Wash., man run over by farm tractor

MOSES LAKE, Wash. (AP) - Grant County sheriff's officers say a 34-year-old Quincy, Wash., man has been run over and killed by a farm tractor at a farm east of Moses Lake.

KHQ-TV reports ( http://is.gd/uUg0iF) that Steve Weil was killed Tuesday evening as he was helping Friehe Farms prepare soil. Deputies say that for some reason, Weil walked into a field and tried to climb aboard a moving articulating tractor driven by another man. Weil fell and was run over by the left rear tire. Weil reportedly was an employee of Simplot Soilbuilders.

The state Department of Labor and Industries is investigating the death.
