Fatal Maple Valley fire caused by electrical fault

MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) - Investigators say Friday's fatal house fire in Maple Valley was caused by an accidental electrical malfunction.

A man was able to break out a window and escape. A 75-year-old woman was trapped inside and could not be revived by firefighters.

She's identified by the King County medical examiner's office as Nellie Smith. She died of smoke inhalation.
