Homemade lightsaber shuts down Seattle bus tunnel

SEATTLE (AP) - The force wasn't strong with an abandoned homemade lightsaber that briefly shut down the Seattle dowtown bus tunnel.

Seattle police say on Sunday night a tunnel security guard found a suspicious looking device and called police, who shut down the tunnel while the bomb squad was called.

But the device turned out to be the handle of a homemade lightsaber, the fictional laser-saber that Jedis use in the Star Wars universe.

Police say the lightsaber was constructed of a flashlight, a plastic toy, duct tape, battery and a string.

Investigators say closed, this case is.
