SALEM, Ore. (AP) - A man wounded by a Marion County sheriff's deputy appeared in a court Monday by jail video to hear he's facing charges that include being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The 48-year-old man, Michael Kent Wylie, also is suspected of a home invasion robbery last week in Edmonds, Wash., another crime in Tigard and a parole violation in Salt Lake City.
The Statesman Journal reports ( http://stjr.nl/12P32Yw) he's jailed pending his next court appearance on May 8.
Wylie was shot in the leg Friday by a deputy who found him apparently passed out in a stolen car near Turner. The deputy fired when Wylie woke up and brandished a gun.
