2 killed in crash on Highway 410 at Sumner

SUMNER, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State Patrol says a pickup truck somehow crossed over a jersey barrier on Highway 410 and collided with an oncoming car about 6 a.m. Friday near Sumner.

Both vehicles were then hit by a dump truck loaded with gravel, killing the men driving the car and pickup. The gravel truck driver was not seriously hurt.

Sgt. Dan Shades told KOMO ( http://bit.ly/1131flX) investigators have not yet determined how the pickup crossed the median barrier. Speed may have been a factor and the pickup may have rolled, although it was right side up when it collided with the car.

The crash restricted traffic on Highway 410 between Sumner and Bonney Lake through Friday morning.
