4 or 5 child luring attempts in WoodlandMay 9, 2013 @ 12:48 pm
WOODLAND, Wash. (AP) - Police say there have been four or five incidents of attempted child luring in the past week in the Cowlitz County town of Woodland.
Det. Dave Plaza says they have been reported by different kids and adults.
All three schools in Woodland _ primary, intermediate and high school _ have sent warning letters home to parents.
Police are asking residents to watch for a large black SUV with two white men inside and report anything suspicious. Plaza said Thursday they have received several calls, but all of them have been cleared so far.
On Wednesday the men asked several children if they wanted a ride to school. At some point the passenger tried to grab a child, and the child got away.
