Man runs over sister at Renton accident scene

RENTON, Wash. (AP) - Police say a 77-year-old driver accidentally ran over his sister after she got out to direct traffic following a minor fender-bender in Renton.

Det. Robert Onishi tells KOMO ( the woman walked behind the car to flag traffic and was standing there when her brother backed up. He then drove forward, running over her again, and hit the side of a passing truck.

Medics tried to save the woman but she died about an hour later. She had been visiting from Germany. Her brother lives in Issaquah. He was taken to a hospital for an evaluation.
