LYNDEN, Wash. (AP) - Police in Lynden, Wash., say a 6-year-old boy was seriously hurt when he fell from a second-story window.
The Bellingham Herald reports ( http://is.gd/5HnO6R) that Police Chief Jack Foster says the boy was alone in a bedroom Tuesday evening, talking out the open window to a younger brother on the ground below.
The 6-year-old fell about 15 feet to a concrete patio, hitting his head. He suffered what were described as life-threatening injuries.
Foster says the boy's mother was downstairs.
Lynden Fire Chief Gary Baar says the boy was airlifted to a Seattle hospital. An update on his condition wasn't available Wednesday.
