Woman found dead in Wash. apartment fire is ID'dDecember 19, 2013 @ 6:49 pm
EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - The Snohomish County medical examiner's office says the woman found dead after an apartment building fire last weekend was a 47-year-old Everett resident.
The Daily Herald says the medical examiner identified her as Wendy A. Pirring.
Her cause of death remains under investigation, as does the cause of the fire.
Officials said earlier they don't suspect foul play in the death.
The fire at the 90-year-old Hodges Building displaced dozens of people.
The building was under a condemnation order from the city before the fire. It has been ruled unsafe to occupy since the fire.
