Man burned in Wash. mobile home explosion dies

CHATTAROY, Wash. (AP) - Officials at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle say a man who suffered severe burns in a mobile home explosion north of Spokane has died.

The Spokesman Review reports that 51-year-old Michael Asselin died Friday. The Spokane County sheriff's office considers his 57-year-old wife a possible domestic violence victim. She was also burned and remains hospitalized in critical condition at Harborview.

The mobile home in Chattaroy exploded in flames on Wednesday.

KHQ-TV reports that relatives say the couple had separated but the woman went to the home to bring Asselin some medication.
