Driver killed in collision with horse near Ephrata

EPHRATA, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State Patrol says the driver of a pickup truck was killed in a collision with a horse early Monday on Highway 28 about two miles west of Ephrata.

The patrol says the horse threw its rider and ran into the roadway about 2 a.m. when the horse was struck.

The collision killed 24-year-old Armando N. Capetillo of Moses Lake and totaled his 1992 Ford Ranger pickup.
