Suspect in Walla Walla burglary spree arrested

WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) - Police say they caught a man responsible for eight burglaries since mid-July at businesses in Walla Walla.

Officers had been working overtime on the rash of burglaries and had evidence linking them to 23-year-old Dakota M. Hopkins.

He was arrested Saturday after trespassing at a home. Officers also found methamphetamine in his vehicle.

Bail was set Tuesday at $60,000, and officers continue to investigate possible charges of burglary, theft, malicious mischief and drug possession.
